Arts After School

A unique after school performing arts experience for school-aged students, taking place on all full school days. Prodigy started this program back in 1999. While there are several programs that combine After School with Performing Arts in NAME, Prodigy is really doing what we say.  Our teachers are all college educated and professional performers. This allows them to give students up to date advice and training.

After School Activities Make a Happy Child

This program is designed to make sure students receive performing arts training and have fun after their long work day with academics. Afternoon activities are an important part of a child’s day. According to the New York City Department of Education:

“After-school programs give students opportunities to learn skills, explore their interests, and discover new things.”

Working in concert with parents, our students enjoy education since they also get a creative release through the arts.

Consistent Schedule

We provide transportation from local public and private schools to Prodigy. Please contact our Enrollment Counselors to verify if your area is a part of our coverage zone. We have a state of the art computer lab where they can do their homework and receive assistance from Prodigy certified academic coaches. Students select a major (music, dance or martial arts), for classes with our trained faculty. This structure is important for the student as they move up to higher grades. The more organized they are, the more successful they are.

Many of our Alumni go on to major colleges and careers. A good percentage of our students receive scholarships to their schools. We have written hundreds of Letters of Recommendation for our worthy students. Involvement in arts based activities is a major boost to receiving a scholarship. We like to think we have a major part to play in their development. Let your child enjoy the Prodigy experience. You’ll be glad you did!
