Uniondale piano students have a music school right in their town. At Prodigy School of the Arts, we teach both beginner and advanced piano lessons. We have been successfully teaching piano students for over 20 years. As a demonstration of our success, many of our students play professionally or for fun.Â
The earlier a student starts piano classes at Prodigy, the more successful they are. As a result of this, they avoid developing bad playing habits. Our focus 0n fundamentals helps students become proficient in playing their instrument. Additionally, kids find their ability to play a song right away, rewarding.Â
We strongly suggest our Uniondale piano students take part in the yearly NYSSMA festivals. Participation and level advancement give students a strong sense of accomplishment. To prepare them, our teachers use a combination of Suzuki and traditional teaching pedagogy. Results show that students respond faster when they can play a song right away. As a result, this success opens their artistic mind to create. Additionally, our students have an over 90% success rate in Achieving a score of Outstanding in NYSSMA. Why? Because they not only play, they do it with skill, technique and LOVE!Â
Kids like to start a variety of things. Unfortunately, not every child is a fit to learn piano. At Prodigy, piano students have the choice of group or private lessons. As beginners, we believe group is better for a variety of reasons. For example, group has a lower cost. Therefore, parents can monitor their child’s commitment to piano without spending too much. To gauge a child’s musical interest, parents should encourage the child to study for a full school year. For our more advanced students, we suggest private lessons. Students participating in these lessons are provided with more challenging techniques. Group classes will have prepared them well.Â
